As a licensed child placing agency, Catholic Charities Bureau, Inc., Diocese of St. Augustine has been a leader in the adoption field since the first Florida office opened in Jacksonville in 1943.  We provide adoption services for the entire 17 counties within our diocese.  

Information and Referral – Catholic Charities has years of experience in adoptions.  We work closely with adoption professionals all over the country.  If you are considering placing a child for adoption or interested in becoming an adoptive parent, then we can help you through the process.   

Adoption – We specialize in infant adoptions and we are a licensed and accredited child placing agency in the state of Florida.  We provide services for pregnant women and prospective adoptive parents.  Pregnant women that choose to make an adoption plan for their child are able to choose from a wide variety of prospective adoptive parents on our waiting list.

Home Studies – We are proud to offer both domestic and international home study services.  Our social workers are familiar with the various requirements for both types of adoption home studies.  We work closely with clients to make sure they have information and placement requirements.  Our home studies are completed in a timely fashion at a reasonable price and we work hard to prepare prospective adoptive parents for parenting.   

Post Placement Reports – All adoptions require post placement visits and summary reports until the adoption is final.  Some international adoptions require post placement visits for up to three years after the adoption is complete.  We are pleased to offer post placement services so that we can be part of your adoption experience throughout the journey.
